Iron to Remove Stains
Stains on carpets are a very usual thing, and these stains can become hard to remove. There are several, or we can say any proven, ways to get rid of the stains from the carpet.
But this process involves three steps. First, you need to vacuum the area where the stain is. This is a prep step to remove all the particles that can be removed with the vacuum.
The next step is to take a 3:1 mixture of water and vinegar and pour it on the stain. Let the mixture settle on the stain for 5 minutes. In the end, take a towel and place it on top of the stained area and apply hot iron on the towel. The stain will be transferred onto the towel, and your carpet will be spotless again due to pressure and heat.
2. Ice Cubes to Fix Carpet Dents
These carpet dents affect the beauty of the carpet in a significant way. But don’t worry, there is an easy solution to fix this problem. Take a regular ice cube and place it on the carpet dent. Wait until it melts, and then blot the excess water from this area.
After that, place a towel on the area and iron it until the area is dry. Once dry, the fabric will be separated and soft, and you can pull the fabric to its original position with your hands.
3. Baby wipes
Baby wipes are another homemade carpet cleaners that are effective in removing different kinds of stains caused by spills on your carpet and rugs. Baby wipes can also be used to remove stains caused by spills on your furniture and clothing.

5. Use a Lint Roller
There are always some hairs, crumbs, and curds that can’t be removed with just vacuuming, no matter how hard you try. This problem is common in carpets with long fabric, and even good vacuum cleaners can’t clean these with much efficiency. These stubborn particles can be removed with the help of a lint roller. This process doesn’t take long.
Approximately a normal-sized carpet can be cleaned thoroughly within 5 minutes. Using a lint roller can solve all of your problems associated with stubborn particles on the rug, which can’t be removed through the vacuum cleaner.
6. Squeegee to Remove Pet Hair
One of the most challenging hair to remove from the carpet is short hairs and doesn’t get cleaned by vacuum cleaners. Lint rollers also don’t pick up these hairs as you will require to clean the whole surface area. You can use a squeegee to remove these hairs from your carpet.
You might be wondering that squeegee is for window cleaning, but that is the point; the squeegee is designed to remove thin layers from the windows and all other small particles. The same is the case with short pet hair. Use the squeegee as you use it on the window, and the results will be satisfying.
7. Spray Bottle
Use a spray bottle to spray carpet cleaning solutions evenly on the carpet surface. This will help break the dirt for later removal.
